It's been a long week and I'm anxious for the weekend. I got tied up at work and missed my tempo run and some drills on the bike but other then that I'm staying on top of the workouts. In fact, I'm obsessing again with hitting everything on the training schedule which is good and bad. When I get in that mode it's hard to listen to the body and shut things down when I need to. The volume will start to pick up over the next few weeks and I feel like I'm mentally and physically ready for it.
Jennifer and the kids are in Baton Rouge for a few days so I'm a bachelor this weekend. I miss them, but I'm also going to enjoy my "free" time. I'm heading back to Ardmore tomorrow for a 70 mile bike ride with the Team Seabiscuit crew. These are the type of friends that 1o minutes into the workout you wished they wouldn't have shown up because they are already pushing the pace and kicking your butt!!! Should be painful but fun. Ardmore is really a great place to ride and it's a nice change of scenery from the McKinney area.
I've gotten a little lazy with the blog and I'm going to blame that on twitter. I did however promise my mother-in-law (my most loyal reader) that I would continue to update the blog.
Let me take the opportunity to congratulate my brother from another mother Ryan Brasher on completing his first triathlon. In fact in his first triathlon he placed 3rd in his age group. Who does that!!! This guy will be a beast once he gets the bike down.
That's all for now, at this time tomorrow I'll be in a lot of pain thanks to my good friends from Team Seabiscuit.....
